I help men deal with the issues of being a man in today’s world.
What does it mean to be a man in the world today? A lot of men don’t have an answer for this question. Many of us have been taught by our fathers to be strong, stoic, and unemotional. We’ve learned how to be pragmatic, how to get things done. Then we’re told by women to be more sensitive, more affectionate, more in touch with our feelings. The messages we get from others in society are mixed, and leave us feeling lost, confused, and unbalanced. What in the world does it mean to be a man today? What does a real man look like? Talk like? Feel like?
I’ve worked a lot with men who struggle with these questions. In therapy Men heal emotional wounds that were inflicted on them early on in their lives. Moreover, they are encouraged to take off the gender straightjacket which society has fitted for them. Instead, Men are encouraged to be authentic, to trust themselves and others more, to take ownership of their shadows, and to celebrate their gold. I challenge men to lead lives of integrity, connection to feeling, and a renewed responsibility for their personal mission in the world.
As a therapist, I guide men navigating the complexities of modern masculinity. Many men grapple with conflicting expectations—taught to be stoic yet urged to be sensitive, leaving them lost. In therapy, men heal emotional wounds, shed societal constraints, and embrace authenticity. I encourage trust, shadow ownership, and integrity, fostering connection to feelings and personal purpose.
